Project Title: Home Addition - Adding More Living Space to front of house in a way to make the whole thing cohesive. All suggestions welcome. No space on sides or rear of house to add addition. If we can make addition to the front and fix the visual issues created from previous owner, would be ideal. Description: Looking for skilled architect to sketch/make suggestions of how to add 20x30 mother in law suite in front of house with 10' ceilings. Side entrance. Existing house has 8' ceilings. Addition will be one big room with mini kitchen and private bath. Roof over addition should be lower than existing scallion roof if possible. Design new front porch. can lose side windows at existing front porch and above front porch (same wall). - I have a preference for a traditional architectural style, blending seamlessly with the existing design elements of my house but I realize this might not be possible given existing home design. More important to blend in with what's there. Previous owner added addition on the right side with the single stallion roof and it wasn't really attached to house in a way to give it a good appearance. Would like to design the new room on front(no space on sides of house or in back). - The ideal candidate should have ability to create a seamless transition between the existing structure and the new addition. - The project completion timeline is short-term, ranging from 3 to 6 weeks. - The selected professional should have experience in managing and completing projects within this time frame. - If you have the necessary skills and experience, and can meet the desired timeline, I look forward to discussing the project.
