I'm creating a VST and I'm missing one crucial feature, my VST does not allow me to hear what the MIDI data of an already existing .mid file sounds like. I already have the other functionality for the VST written, but I cannot seem to figure the MIDI code out. What I've attempted to do is make a synthesizer with a default voice, and pass the MIDI data to that, and then route it to the PC's default audio settings. Hopefully you can help!
