Build simple website for shopping cart

Design a simple web-based shopping cart application. The application should contain the following functionality: Items for Sale  Display a list of items for sale. Include the item name, description and price. The list of items should not be hardcoded in the html.  Allow users to add items to their cart. Cart Maintenance  Display an indicator that shows the number of items currently in the cart.  Allow users to view the contents of their cart.  Allow users to adjust the quantity of each item in their cart.  Allow users to remove items from their cart.  Display the total cost of all of the items in the cart. Check Out  Capture user payment information.  Capture user shipping information.  Display a summary of the transaction (cart, payment and shipping). The application should use a combination of .NET for the server side and your choice of libraries and approaches for the client side. Assume that the application will only be running on modern browsers. There is no expectation that the information will be persisted beyond the running session. Be prepared to explain your decisions about approach as well as how your application could be expanded and improved upon.
