Building a Shopify App.

I'm looking for someone to build a basic Shopify app that will eventually be integrated with an API that we're developing (may need hep on this, but it's a separate project). We'll need the freelancers to ultimately sign an NDA and IP agreement. There are several important elements we need built, though we are not yet fixed on a development stack. Basically we need functionality such as shopping cart management, order modifications, returns and exchanges, product information, FAQs, store policies, discounts, and upselling/cross-selling capabilities. Probably most or all is in some github repository, which we are fine with using as well as GPT-4, which, if you don't have an account, we'll get you one. It is important to only use MIT or similarly licensed code such that it is legal to use the code or derivations in a commercial software. Freelancers should mention which development stack they would use. There are lots of Shopify repositories here: [login to view URL] along with lots of code on the web. Ideally much of the functionality would come from already existing code, but GPT can also be used to rapidly develop code. Here's a breakdown of the APIs, webhooks etc. needed for the functionality we'd like: 1. Order Tracking Shopify Admin API: Use this API to access and manage order data, providing real-time tracking updates to customers. Webhooks: Implement webhooks to receive real-time notifications on order status changes. 2. Shopping Cart Management Shopify AJAX API: Use this API for a seamless shopping cart experience that allows customers to add items to the cart, update quantities, and view cart contents without reloading the page. Storefront API: Allows management of shopping carts directly through customer interactions on the frontend. 3. Order Modifications Shopify Admin API: Facilitates modifications to orders that are not yet processed. This includes changing quantities, products, or canceling orders. Draft Orders API: Use this API to modify orders before finalizing them, giving flexibility in changes prior to order confirmation. 4. Return Exchange Shopify Admin API: Manage returns and exchanges by modifying order statuses and adjusting inventory. Customer APIs: Allow customers to submit return or exchange requests directly through the app interface. 5. Product Info Shopify Storefront API: Use this API to retrieve detailed product information, including descriptions, images, pricing, and inventory levels. Metafields: Extend product information capabilities by storing additional details in Metafields. 6. FAQ Shopify CMS (Content Management System): Utilize Shopify’s CMS features to manage and display frequently asked questions. Metafields or Custom Content Types: Store and organize FAQ data efficiently for easy access and updates. 7. Store Policies Shopify CMS: Use Shopify’s built-in CMS to create, manage, and display store policy pages like privacy policies, terms of service, and more. Static Sections: Implement static sections in the storefront for easy access to policy information. 8. Discounts Discounts API: Create and manage discounts directly through the app. This can include automatic discounts, coupon codes, and limited-time offers. Price Rules API: Automate pricing adjustments based on certain conditions or triggers set within the app. 9. Upselling/Cross-Selling Product Recommendations API: Leverage Shopify’s API to recommend products based on the customer’s current cart content or browsing history. Shopify Scripts: Write custom scripts to offer relevant upsell and cross-sell products at checkout or on product pages.
