Hello,
While I am not a retired FDA individual, I am a nonprofit management professional with over 10 years of progressive experience working throughout the country learning and mastering federal regulations within the affordable hosing and transportation arenas. This means I am fully capable of understanding federal regulations for a variety of programs based on my previous experiences having to understand the ins and outs of how regulations are written - this is a transferable skill. I have worked with several organizations to successfully manage program compliance with regulations and policies for a variety of housing and social service programs while ensuring quality. A few of my accomplishments in managing compliance are listed below.
As the Senior Manager of Special Programs at the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA):
- I led our subcontracted agency in designing and executing a 100% audit of over 900 program participant files to ensure thorough and accurate record keeping was occurring in compliance with federal regulations.
- I created and implemented new policies, standard operating procedures, and three statement of work (SOW) manuals to be used by internal and external staff to ensure implementation of high quality programs consistent with CHA’s mission.
- I coordinated with HUD Chicago office on technical issues regarding administration of HUD programs, clarification of HUD federal regulations, and to assure CHA remains in compliance with federal regulations.
