Wordpress Multisite: Overide 302 redirect via site switcher using cookie

I have two versions of my site. One in english (.com) and other in english united states (.com/us) I require any user visiting the website from the US to be directed to .com/us if they visit .com. Currently using IP2L to redirect via 302 redirects. However this does not allow for the site switcher to work due to redirect loop. I require the site switcher to be usable maybe setting a cookie? I already use browser language detection and direction via htaccess. Please comment "I can help" if you can assist me.
