This project is about scraping rows of data from an external website, putting them into a local database, and then displaying them on a local website. The attached file [login to view URL], is an example of the data that is needed to be fetched from the external website. Please refer to the Usage Monitoring Site Design [login to view URL] for the project brief in full. This project consists of 3 parts: 1. A web interface that allows the user to add/edit/delete a list of companies's usernames and passwords that the scraper will use to login to an external website. 2. For each company in the database, the system will be able to log into an external website, fetch rows (web scraping from a javascript enabled page) and put those numbers into a local database. The system will need to login through a single-sign-on login form, maintain the authentication, extract rows from a page with javascript, then put that into a local database. 3. Display a password-protected web-interface, showing the numbers collected into the local database and a bar graph. (see attached pdf for more information) Note: The authentication (with cookies, sessions etc) with the external website, and the javascript the external website uses to show the data is complicated. I can give you access to this to see if you have the skill to scrape data from it.
