Development of an E-learning website Overview Over the years, several foreigners and immigrants moved to the United Kingdom (UK) for a better life. The reasons for this decision may have been social, economic, political or even environmental. However, the UK Government considers that even a non-UK person should be aware of the British traditions and customs to adopt the mentality and culture of the nation. For this reason, the British Government offers an official service to book a Life in the UK Test as one of immigrants’ applications for UK citizenship or indefinite leave to remain in the country. This test aims to assess the knowledge and skills of these people around British traditions and customs. The present study heavily relies on the preparation of these people in order to pass the Life in the UK Test and comprehend the British culture and mentality to become more acceptable by the society. The study is attempting to achieve this goal by designing and implementing an interactive e-learning environment (through a website) that will prepare and help immigrants to obtain a UK citizenship. Aim The project’s main aim is to implement an interactive e-learning website to effectively assist immigrants prepare for the Life in the UK Test so that they can obtain a British citizenship. The particular e-learning website should also be able to familiarise such people with the life in the UK.
