My forum got spammed to death a few months ago and the host took it offline due to the large file size it became. I have discovered a large sql file for it in my root public_html directory and I semi restored it myself by it had some missing tables as I used putty and someone suggested a dump might have been better. I am not that advanced, it's probably an easy job if you know what youre doing but it's frustrating me. I would like to recover all the old data on the forum and just remove the spam once it's restored.

This really is an easy job if you have the dump file, as you say, and your database can be fully restored if done professionally. This shouldn't take more than 1-2 hours of work and shouldn't cost more than $50 anyway, I'm ready to complete the project for you.
