I have a server with digital ocean running a few word press sites, it was recently compromised and a brute force attack originating from my server was picked up by support. They have cut off network access to the server until it is fixed but I still have console access. Help needed urgently as my linux knowledge only goes as far as setting these up!

Do you have any idea when the server might have compromised ? Whats the linux distro? Did DO support team gave any logs or something? so that you can verify the pattern and search of the same.
