Adding detail to an EPS image in inches

This is a two-part project that spans over two projects. This project portion is the inches. The subsequent project will be for centimeters. IM breaking them into two for my ease of administration and oversight. Plus, if someone gets ghosted and I lose all the time required to complete both projects, I will miss MY deadline. To remediate that, I have broken the project down into two projects versus one. This is not an attempt to pad a portfolio. That being said, here is the first part: I have an EPS file that has five layers. One for background. 2 for inches, and 2 for centimeters. The image dimensions are 100 inches by 44 inches in EPS format. You must use Adobe Illustrator and keep the current resolution, as this is a project concerning NASA photos. Part 1 of 2: Inches along the top and left border must be broken down and labeled precisely between the ruler markings and created in their layer. We will increase our 5-layer image to 7. 1 layer for top inches increments and one layer for left-inch increments. Inches will be broken down as so: 1/16, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, 13/16, 7/8, 15/16 (see attached) Part 2 of 2: Create two more layers. One layer for inch lines is drawn from top to bottom like a grid overlay, except the top ruler will only have lines running down to the bottom. There should be 10 pixels of space (at least) between the inch line and inch increment so that one doesn't get lost in lines from top to bottom. The break in lines is necessary. In the image I provide, you see that the increments have a 2-pixel space. I want to make that space 5 or 10 and the lines edging from the increments to have a distance equal to the area you give the increment fractions. Ignore my poor examples, and ask me questions if you need clarification. The second layer will be the same except for going left to right. I will be creating a separate project for centimeters for budgeting and management on my end. I thank the Freelancer staff for correcting mistakes before I ignorantly make them.
