Roles & Responsibility
Possessing sound knowledge in LAN/WAN and server Management.
Well versed in Enterprise Monitoring,Tools including Firewalls, Security, Hubs, Switches & Routers.
Responsible for design and continued support of the backup/recovery solution, business continuity and disaster recovery aspects of user files, SQL database services, Email services, associated software services, and other critical services offered to support.
Proficient in developing and implementing standards, policies and procedures to improve business functionality.
Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.
Performing routine audits of systems and software.
Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
Installs, configures, and maintains new hardware and software on multiple servers and workstations
Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords etc.
Answering technical queries and assisting users.
Responsibility for security.
Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system.
Troubleshooting any reported problems.
System performance tuning.
Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running.
Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing data center environments.
Develops and implements various training, job aids, and instruction for users on the use of operating systems, networking, applications, and databases.
Performs other information technology duties as required to support the work of the unit.
Maintains and manages users accounts. Installs, modifies and maintains systems and utility software on server computer systems. Provides server support related to other software.
Works with vendors to assist support activities
Utilizing functional knowledge of Oracle Apps Erp R12 in Purchase & Inventory, Production Planning & Control and Order Management.
