I have a single Excel file that allows me to have a number of sheets - one per Project - that list tasks (vertically). I use this to track the progress of each Project. I would like to have a sheet at the front that shows the progress of each Project by listing each sheet vertically and automatically showing the information from each sheet. I would like it to allow me to add a new Project (sheet) and for it to be easy to add it to the Summary sheet. A simple outline of how I would like it to work is attached. I could just do it manually but I expect it is more user-friendly if it is a Pivot Table or something better...

Dear dgiffen. I've done this task and can show you the result. You can use it very simple 1) Index worksheet will be updated automatically when new worksheet added 2) In Index worksheet you need define list of tasks (from cell B1) 3) When you add new worksheet for each new project, you need choose related task from the list of tasks 4) Copy formula in the new line of new project or new column of new task in Idex worksheet It works with Excel 2007. Hello, I can do this project for you maybe in couple of hours but wrote 2 days for more stability, also let me know if you use mac or windows because some macros cannot be executed well in mac! more about me: I am m.s of systems engineering and b.s of industrial engineering, and excel and vba expert.
