Developmental Editing/proofreading/ of a Christian study manual

I have been an editor and proofreader for nine years and during this time, I have edited thousands of books, websites, scripts, academic papers, and articles. I am well versed in content and academic writing and production of fiction content through writing and poetry. What is more, I have a unique grasp of research and all the appropriate formatting styles/methods. I have experience proofreading through a series of church membership lessons that's 500+ pages long. I've also written a Bible study, and am involved with a church planting team. I am a graduate, employee, and current graduate student at Valley Forge Christian College (VFCC) in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. VFCC is an Assemblies of God college and as such follows the Pentecostal/charismatic tradition. I currently hold a Bachelor's Degree in Christian Ministries (general studies in pastoral counseling and adult, youth, and children's ministry) and am studying for a Masters of Organizational Leadership. I have earned over 130 credit hours worth of classes across a spectrum of subjects: Old and New Testament studies, greek and hebrew studies, pastoral counseling, expository preaching, and vocational ministry. I currently at VFCC's Office of Information Technology and serve as a Systems Administrator and technical writer.

Hi. I graduated with a diploma in Editing/Proofreading last year and am looking to focus on a project such as yours right now. I am an evangelical Christian (having ministered with my husband in Anglican churches in New Zealand, Spain and now Australia) and have a desire to see all Christian endeavors performed at a level of excellence. Apart from searching for mistakes (not a healthy recreational pursuit!) I am a professional viola player and mother of 6. (Though 3 have flown the nest.) Track Changes software is my preferred option for on-line editing/proofing. I can provide a reference from a Christian writer whose latest novel I proofread. As far as experience in biblical studies/Christian literature, I audited many of the theological courses while my husband was training for his Theological degree. Hello, I wish to use my extensive proofreading and editing experience to help you in producing the Christian study manual I am a committed fundamental/evangelical/Pentecostal/ Christian for the past 40 years who, although not formally trained, has served as Bible teacher, and has a solid foundation of the Scriptures. I currently produce a weekly meditation called Manna-bytes that is distributed electronic to a network of persons. it is a Bible study starting at Genesis that seeks to teach New Testament using the shadows and types from the Old Testament. As a retired university lecturer I have excellent proofreading and editing skills developed over thirty years of teaching and supervising student research and theses. I was also an English major in my undergraduate degree and have written and published several scholarly articles as well as works of fiction. I am sure I have the requisite knowledge and skills to edit and proofread your manual. My bid is for $12.00 per hour and I am available for about ten hours per week.
