URGENT - Amends to 1,800 product descriptions in Magento

This job was posted late last week but the provider failed to complete the task. We require the descriptions of 1,800 Magento products to be updated. The information has been provided to us by the client in an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet list the existing product descriptions with the new new product descriptions side by side. Some images need to be downloaded and updated to be made square to fit the Magento product image window. This must be done by adding white space around the existing image, and not resizing the image so the quality stays the same. Attached to this post is an example and the URL of the site. This is essentially a data entry project, but an understanding of updating products in Magento 1.4 is essential.
