Hi there, I've previously worked on similar projects about indoor positioning and advertising using beacons and BLE modules. I couldn't identify your preferred method since it was brief but let me share how I've done it in the past and we can talk about specifics later depending on your preferences. Most recently I was working for a client to apply indoor positioning algorithms into an android app so that users can find themselves in a map showing in the phone and that required continuously getting packets from all the beacons (BLE modules) and compute the location of user based on RSSI of received packets from beacons and compute the position using mathematical methods and send the location to a database on a server to create a heat map of busy routes. The client was owner of a shopping mall and wanted to know how costumers move and which routes they choose when they enter the mall.
