Modification in a open source student management system Fedena,.

Fedena is an opensource online school management system based on ruby on rails.

It almost have all the capabilities that genrally any normal school require, we need some more functionalities listed below.

We are looking for Online School Management System with features of similar system provide(Like student profile management, Attendance, event information etc.) along with following functionality:

- Can handle multiple schools(More like a Single Company having subsidiary branches at different location)along with complete hierarchy which is generally under a School administration.

- System capable of sending SMS, email and optionally post on ones facebook Wall.(Information of upcoming event or day to day reports to School, Student, Parents, Teachers etc.)

- Capable of looking for keywords in a every students profile, and once given data is uploaded for a given keyword, it is published on that specific students profile. (For instance if there are two students A and B, A with these keywords in his profile {Karate, GK, Music} and B with these keywords {Science, Cycling, Gardening}. Now when our engineer maintaining our system uploads data relevant to keyword "karate" OR "GK" OR "Music" it is then published on A's profile while if the data is uploaded for keywords "Science" "Cycling" OR "Gardening" it is reflected on B's profile and similarly for all students sharing that keyword)

- Online exam conducting capability along with result along with graph and history of performance in various tests.

- A section "Our recommendations"(Section in which we can pass suggestions,, depending on keywords in the profile)

- Integration of open source Moodle.

- Students can list their achievements, hobbies and interest in their profile.

- Once deployed can be handled by our Engineer(Ruby specialist or any other platform the system demands).

ii) DIY projects: "Do it yourself" projects must have capability to show videos, from youtube, after link is embedded and optionally we can upload videos too(again based on keywords on the profile). And a list of resources required and steps involved which can be showed beside that video.

Rescue Center: Depending on the marks in various examination, this section should recommend neraby coaching centre already stored in our database. Suppose if a student have less than 40% marks in maths and Physics and is from jaipur, he should be recommended xyz coaching classes, else if he scores less in chemistry he should be reccomended abc coaching classes.
