Hi. I just want to save you some money. If I understood you want your solid model to be hollow inside for saving plastic. If this is correct, you don't necessarily need a new 3D model. In the past I have used a couple of 3D printers and all of them have built-in options that allows you to choose the amount of inside filling of your model. (in some of them the honeycombed patter by default). My suggestion is that you ask to your local 3D printer provider if they can do this. If you want to use plastic injection you do need a new model and design. In this case the problem is that the cost could be very high to produce (I think that it could need to be manufactured as a shell, the filled with structure and finally plastic-solded) Hopefully this comment help you with your project. P.S. If your model is big aas a chair or if you want it to be consistent in quality and structure it could be done. It would need a new design with some estructure inside according to the use and weights to support.

I would recommend that you select an alternative material to Polypropylene as it may not have the material properties that you seek light-weight your component for this structural application..
