Hi,
Ruth Gordon, Oscar-winning film actress said, “The very best impromptu speeches are the ones written well in advance.”
While Ruth’s comment may make you chuckle, her pointed message isn’t a joke: A great speech takes work. I have helped clients consider their speech’s purpose, audience, occasion, etc. I’ve also emphasized the fact that each person must leave feeling better than they did when they arrived because the client's words motivated, educated, soothed, strengthened or, in some cases, caused uproarious laughter. Experience in nonprofit and corporate sectors, education and specialized training allow me to add knowledge combined with passion that none of the other bidders can offer.
Career Highlights include:
- English instructor for the Burma Students' Association. For four years, I learned about the issues of war-torn countries and co-wrote speeches that resulted in effective alliances and societal improvements.
- Pursue B.S. degrees in human resources management and communications. Completed courses in corporate communications, interpersonal skills and public relations.
- Assisted director of communications for an advertising agency with press releases, proposals and speeches for Fortune 500 companies and increased sales.
- Member of Toastmasters International. Learn leadership and communication skills that I apply for corporate presentations for C-suite executives.
I look forward to speaking with you soon.
