More than 5.5 years experience in non functional and functional testing. Performed following responsibilities for one of the biggest banking project - - Gather performance testing requirements by scheduling walkthroughs with the Project managers for each initiative to understand the requirements in the PT questionnaire. - Prepare performance test plan after confirming service calls or flows to be tested. - Confirm the scale of performance testing environment and create a performance model based on this information. Performance model captures the production volumes and expected volumes. - Configure the performance test scenarios which are required to be executed to bring out or certify the performance issue. - Determine if any backend/service call requires virtualization. Help tools team with data required to stub out the actual calls and smoke test the configurations before actual load testing. - Determine the data requirements for the calls which use any caching functionality. - Define SLA’s for both regression and new services or flows. SLA’s are also defined for hardware resources like Memory and CPU utilizations. - Review the performance test plan formally with the project team and clients to ensure each performance test scenario and other details are acceptable. - Design scripts to simulate the real user behavior. - Execute smoke tests to validate the scripts and test environment. - Execute load scenarios as per the test plan priority and monitor execution real time.

I understand the requirement is to test the web application against a concurrent load of 100 virtual users and then prepare the final Performance Response Report. I had a few additional queries in relation to the AUT [Application Under Test]: 1. How many Steps are there in the flow to be tested for the AUT. 2. What is the software on which the Performance Test needs to be done - Are we looking at a HP Performance Center based execution or Open Source Tools like JMeter. 3. What are the reports expected as the final output - Response time report will be collated, but wanted to check if any additional reports are required. Awaiting to hear back from you.
