System Management Software Engineer

Job Description System Management Software Engineer We are looking for a software developer with operations experience and interest to provide Tier 3 support of our cloud service and to automate the product management and operations. In this position, you will trouble-shoot, diagnose, and resolve product issues in production and develop tools, scripts, and product features to automate operations and support activities, including configuration, deployment, and management. You will be responsible for timely resolving production issues and for key parts of our software infrastructure. Your work will be critical to our service's availability and performance and to decreasing the cost of operating the service. You will work with the operations team to automate the management of the production environments and you will collaborate with the development team in making our product better. This is a position with broad impact and high visibility within the company. Strong background in operating systems, networking, databases, and virtualization is required as well as hands on experience operating online production environments. The position requires availability during normal business hours (8am - 5pm) as well as responding to high priority issues on weekends and holidays. While this is not a customer support position, a customer oriented mindset and skill set are desired as you will work closely with customer support and may be needed on some customer calls.
