scan PDF bank statement and pull information into Excel

I am looking to scan a pdf of a bank statement and then put various pieces of information into Excel. For example, I would like to search the pdf of the bank statement for the person's wages and pay date and then, put that information into Excel. Basically, here is the workflow: -I ask an applicant for their bank statement -they ususally send it as a pdf, but also sometimes send them as screenshots, or I have a faxing service that converts the fax to pdf (efax) -I look thru their bank statement for certain relevant information that I have put currently into Excel -My current method it to read the bank statement and hand input the data; which is extremely time consuming -I want to search the bank statement in the same way that my brain does, and look for key items such as wage deposits, other outstanding loans, and I also try to predict their next pay dates
