Hi, To start with, I am Maheshwar, I am based out of Bangalore - the tech hub of India. I have over 4 years of experience with large scale systems based on Java & python. I have previously worked full -time with companies like Zynga Gaming(company behind farmville, poker etc) and Hike messenger. I would like to address each of concerns separately below: - experience with language/framework: I have worked with python django rest framework(DRF) mostly and I would suggest DRF for this project as well compared to flask. As we will be dealing with a relational database here, DRF comes with out of the box support for relational databases and its easier to maintain and deploy the code compared to a flask project. I agree that flask is a bit lightweight and fast compared to DRF, but in this case i would choose maintainability over speed. (server computation is pretty cheap these days) -Justification for the # of hours: If its a simple model to be implemented it takes around 3hours and would take additional 3 hours to write basic test cases. If the model is a bit complex where you have to do a bunch of checks and call a bunch of APIs then it can extend to 5 hours + 3-4hours of testcases. -To ship the best, clean code possible: I have worked with large scale systems at Zynga & hike messenger where in we have to process millions of requests p/s.
