Write a PostScript code snippet that prints non-ascii characters + explanation

Our system injects text into PostScript files using the simple command (text to insert) show showpage - however, we need to be able to insert non-ascii characters in this line of text, and we have no clue how to do it. We just need someone to explain to us how this is done and provide simple, working PostScript code that inserts a specific line of non-ascii text.
