Wordpress Custom plugin and Site Editing

I have started a new wordpress news syndication site. I will have to get content from various sites, one of them is [login to view URL] . I have already setuped the wordpress site and theme has been already installed and categories setuped. To make it automatic, I need some plugin or custom script which will fetch content from that site and post to my site with same category, same content and same title on regular interval automatically.. You could create a wordpress plugin or custom script. Apart from this, I need little bit help with theme's home page editing as I want to increase word count in titles because theme is restricting them.
