PROJECT: Taxi Booking Management App.

About us: We are a small taxi/private hire booking company with about 20 independent drivers based in Madrid. We get bookings from the customers (individuals, travel agencies, hotels etc) and send them to independent drivers, and we get a commission. Most of our bookings are 24H in advance and not in real time. Our methodology: Currently we use google calendar to manage the system. Majority of our bookings are from travelling agencies. These agencies send us the bookings by whatsaap or Email and we copy and paste them into the calendar. The calendars are shared with the drivers, who have permissions to modify them. If a driver is interested in a particular service, they simple write their name in the calendar title. That way the service is assigned to the driver. At the end of the month, we download the calendar in MS excel format to create reports. The process works find except for the fact that it’s involves a lot of work from our part to in-put the entries into the calendar and errors etc. So we would like to have a simple App which does all of the above. So the App should have: 1. Customer Area: Here customers - Login to add new bookings - Consult/see all the bookings with a calendar view - Download a report with their bookings - And for the case of the agencies, they can download a report of all bookings and their commissions. 2. Driver Area: - Drivers can login to see bookings, accept bookings with prices or give a quote for bookings that need prices. - They can download the job sheet for the bookings they have accepted. - Download a report of all the bookings they have done with all fees/payments. 3. Admin Area: - Controls everything from the backend; add new customers, drivers, new bookings, add or change prices, print reports etc.
