Hey
I'm a Web Developer and I love Minecraft so hopefully I'm the guy for the job.
I run a server called AbsoluteCraft ([login to view URL]), and I created the website for that.
Your idea sounds really cool, it doesn't matter if it's been done before, if you can do it better (or rather, hire a developer who can do it better :P) then it should be worth doing.
I've never looked at the Mojang API but I've worked with APIs (modern ones all work in the same way, so I should be able to do it), created web servers and cron jobs before (scheduling things to run at certain times). I'm guessing you'd also want recommendations on hosting, domains, etc. which I can help you with.
I usually work with a PHP framework called Laravel, so I'd recommend that the website be built using that. It's very fast and optimised and also comes packaged with a "Command" feature that would allow us to check very frequently whether we have any usernames to snipe from the Mojang database.
If you check out my personal portfolio at [login to view URL], you'll see that I have an eye for design as well. That's going to be important to convert people to paying you to snipe the username they want or going somewhere else. A massive flaw with [login to view URL] is that their website is really basic and ugly.
Would you be able to give me a percentage of profits, if this becomes a success? As I can continue development after the site launches by helping you with anything technical
Thanks for your time,
Dan
