I have 100 lines of PHP code that access a local MongoDB database and then show the results I want in a very simple webpage (see attachment).
I have an online server at Linode where the exact same MongoDB database is online. I am stuck with the (stupid) problem of not being able to get the script to work online, in spite of having all the necessary password information.
The PHP code will be shared with selected bidders. However, the solution could involve writing the code in another language (Ruby, for instance) as long as it accesses the database and shows the result as it is... and you comment your code properly so I can understand it.
This is a micro project that will probably continue with the chosen bidder to elaborate on the MongoDB query and get more interesting statistics.... but that is not part of this project.
Hi. Have you checked network connection and firewall? that is always a problem when using databases over the internet.
