Dephi experts needed

Requirement: Desktop application that offers the ability to process

emails in POP3 email inbox, filters out delivery-error emails and

extracts email addresses from these emails.

Basically we run a emailing-list, and have program that sends email to

list of opt-in recipients in our database. Sometimes we get bounce-back emails that are returned by the destination email server because the account no longer exists or is over-quota.

These emails are sent to our Reply-to email address. We need an application as we will run this on Windows XP / Vista PC) that can connect to our email account, and process only the error emails (Delivery status failure) , and extract the recipient's email address (the email address that failed) from the email body, and write these email address to a log data file.

We plan to run this application once or twice a month, and use the output data to update our Firebird email-addresses database, removing the failing addresses from our records, so that emails are not sent to these addresses in future.

The server name/IP , POP3 account name and password should be

configurable, and the application should have a way of knowing emails

that it has processed before so that the next time it is run, it will

not process emails that it did a previous time ?€" this can possibly

done by moving these error emails to another folder after processing

or by storing an ID that is unique to the email on the POP3 server,

not sure about this, but you get the general idea.

The email program is written in Delphi and if we get a bounce application written in Delphi we can combine the code and update the database more often.
