Collect and Send File Via FTP

“SEND FILE?? REQUIREMENTS DEFINITION Purpose: Create a program to allow users to submit their files to an FTP site for later processing by a Commercial Printing Prepress company or Printing Company. System Requirements: Application must run on Windows (98, XP, NT, 2000) and Mac (OS9, OSX) and allow the transfer files from the following applications: Adobe FrameMaker v4.0-6.0; Adobe Illustrator v6.0-10.0; Adobe InDesign v1.2-2.0; Adobe PageMaker v4.2-7.0; Adobe PhotoShop v4.0-7.0; CorelDRAW v6.0-9.0 Win, v8.0-9.0 Mac; FreeHand v7.0-10.0; Microsoft Publisher 2002; MultiAd Creator v4.0-6.5 Mac; MultiAd Creator 2 v2.0-6.0 Mac; QuarkXPress v3.1-5.0; PDF v1.2-1.4; PostScript Level I-III; DCS v1.0-2.0; .BMP; .EPS; .GIF; .JPG; .PCX; .PICT; ScietexCT; .TIF. Product Requirements: The ‘Send File’ application must allow the user to ‘drag and drop’ a file to the ‘Send File’ application icon - - which will automatically perform the following with that file: 1) Create a job number for the job 2) Create a folder for the job 3) Collect the file and applicable fonts (sub folder) and images (sub folder) that were used in the creation of the file that was dragged to the ‘Send File’ icon. 4) Compress (.sit/.zip) the folder, including all files enclosed. 5) Once the folder is compressed and ready to be sent, the application is to open a URL (as defined in a .ini file that the ‘Send File’ application will read) 6) Once the URL (web order form) is filled in, and the form is submitted, the Compressed Folder with the original file and supporting fonts and images is sent, with the results of the URL form to an FTP site (FTP address, username and password defined in .ini file). 7) Status Bar provides an update to the user for the upload. Delivery Requirements: This project needs to have delivered for both the Windows and Mac platforms: 1) Executable file of ‘Send File’ application, and .ini file 2) Source code of all software applications 3) Install applications 4) Help/Documentation ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform Application must run on Windows (98, XP, NT, 2000) and Mac (OS9, OSX)
