The proposed project is a Web Portal that will serve the public for the purpose of Advertising, Marketing, Recruitment, Job search and Sending Bulk SMS. The Web portal is going to combine all the functionality of existing standard websites that provide the function of Advertising and Marketing, Recruitment and Job Search and also Bulk SMS. The purpose of the website is to generate online income by paid users and to offer free services to users who don’t have a budget for the service they desire from the website. So the Website is going to allow anyone to post free adverts with the understanding that the adverts they post must be in line with our rules and regulations for advert content. The web portal must be developed in such away that allows adverts to be deleted by the administrator if the user violates our terms and conditions. Immediately an advert is deleted, the person that placed the advert will automatically get an email saying that their advert has been deleted because it violates one or more of our terms and conditions. Functionalities of the Web portal • Web portal should give the user the option of choosing to place a paid advert or a free advert on the web portal • Users should be able to post free adverts on the Website but the adverts cannot contain any links or www or http content. • Users can place links to their websites or any other place in the advert content if they have chosen the paid advert option. • Users who have chosen the paid advert option will be given Hundred (100) free SMS as a bonus and they can purchase more sms into their account. • Users who have chosen the free advert option can also purchase sms into their account. • Users must have registered on a short registration form before they can place advert. After registering, they have to login each time they want to place an advert. • Users who need to place adverts on the website regulary every month will be provided the option of subscribing to a plan that allows a monthy payment (at the beginning of the month) for placing up to a maximum number of adverts in a month. This will reduce their cost of advertising rather than making one off payments for every advert they place on the website. Different monthly payment plans will be available. • Administrators should be able to delete any advert that violates our terms and conditions and the person that placed the advert should automatically get an email to that effect. • There must be a page where users can recommend a friend to the website. • Recruiters can place job adverts for free and also paid adverts if it will contain links. • Job seekers can access job adverts for free • Job seekers will be able to upload their CV • Recruiters will be able to search the CV database for suitable job candidates • The web portal must allow users to buy sms credit • The web portal should have all the features of [login to view URL] plus much more. • The web portal must be built in a way that allows easy maintenance. • The web portal must conform to w3c web standards • The web portal must be very attractive visually i.e the interface must be very appealing. • The web portal must be built using PHP and MySQL • The web portal must look very attractive to people of all ages and nationalities. • Web portal must keep track of users activities. • Web portal must keep records of paids adverts and sms credit purchased • Affliate business opportunity will be available on the web portal. Users can become an affiliate and they will get 10% commission on every sale they generate. This money making opportunity will be available to all users • A very secure content management system will be used to update/maintain the web portal preferably a standard CMS like joomla. • CMS should keep track of who has made update on the website among the administrators.
