I have a plain text file with a list of software programs and the number of available session licenses that are available. I need a simple PHP script written to read this text file and reformat it nicely for users to see. This web page will need to auto refresh every 30-60, or in some way refresh the information. AJAX would be best. The number of open licenses can change at any moment, so users must be able to see the details. The web page must look professional, but doesn't need to be fancy. Red or green indicators must inform users of a license is available for their use. There is one additional piece to the puzzle. When a license count changes, we need to do a quick calculation. If a license has been returned to the available pool (count increases by one), we need to check if it has been checked out for at least one hour. If less than one hour, we need to display a message in the table that specifies that a license will be returned to the pool in XX minutes. This function may require storing the records in a database, which is acceptable. MySQL is preferred, but please make use your own judgment in your recommendation. This should be a very easy project for someone who knows what they're doing. Thanks for checking out this project.
