242226 Configure php 5 on server

I need a manual ./configure - install of php5 on a fedoracore 3 installation. php 4 configures and compiles correctly. But php 5 gives an error on missing libraries, when infact they are installed on the server. and the correct path is specified. below is the working php4 configure, using this on php5 isn't working error: "configure: error: libjpeg.(a|so) not found." file does exists. ./configure --with-config-file-path=/etc --with-zlib --enable-sysvmsg --enable-mm=shared --enable-wddx=shared --enable-xml --enable-sysvsem --enable-sysvshm --enable-yp --enable-dba --enable-magic-quotes --enable-ftp --with-ttf --disable-debug --with-openssl --with-apxs2=/etc/apache2/bin/apxs --prefix=/usr/local/php --with-gd --with-png-dir=/usr/local/lib --with-zlib --with-jpeg-dir=/usr/lib --enable-gd-native-ttf --with-freetype-dir=/usr/local/lib --enable-gd-jis-conv --with-imap=/usr/local/imap-2004g --with-mysql=/usr/ --with-mysql-sock=/var/lib/mysql/[login to view URL] --with-kerberos --with-libdir=/usr/lib --with-pear=/usr/local/php/lib/php --with-mcrypt --with-iconv --with-curl --enable-mbstring --with-pgsql=/usr/ I need help with configure make, will do the actual, make install myself.
