PHP Category Tree

I need a php category tree easy to use with function to manipulate MySQL data.

I'm unsure of the scope and are really looking for an expert with substantial experience in a wide range of tree structures possibly using Ajax, Javascript and PHP with data in MySQL.

Basically I have a base with businesses and I have a tree with categories that typically will be between one and five nodes deep. I need to be able to connect, dis-connect, or move? one or more categories to a single business.

One way would be to look up a business and then manage the categories (one or several) connected to this particular business.

Another way would be to move a child category from one parent category to another including all businesses within.

The coder must be able to demo possible solutions that he/she already made.
