Simple bookings calendar

Simple and solid villa availability system with user backend to mark days as booked/available. Admin needs to be able to toggle days as simple taken or free etc, no further data required. Password protected of course, single user. Taken days to be able to marked as full day and arrival/depart days aswell, these are half days, visually speaking a trianglular ½ fill on the day cell onpublic view. Drop downs or whatever are fine for admin as long as marking days as booked isnt overly tedious. Public view will display data only. View to be per month with a next/prev link either side, and preferably a year jump drop down. Default page view to display current month. Is an A.S.A.P. project but not at expense of all else.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

PHP prefered, RoR acceptable hosted on Apache and mySQL 5 db. Can provide versions and the actual space to test on if/whenevers convieniant. The site is using xhtml strict 1 & css and is fixed width. Public view needs to validate w3c, admin backend just needs to work. Browser wise usual stuff but easy on IE basically. IE 6 and up is fine, decent code should run on all modern browsers but both admin and public should work properly in IE6+, Firefox1.5+ and safari/opera recent builds ... Calendar will likely be a table anyway so this shouldn't be an issue.
