I have been searching RAC to find a coder good at web design and web programming. I have selected you for two reasons.

1. because you can do ASP.NET SQL2000 and your designs look good

2. because you use XP methodology and I like XP and I will need something like XP to get my site running as it is complex and hard for me to describe exactly and rather than give an exact description I would rather work as a close customer and small releases.

I do not have a huge budget and I am hoping your costs are not too high.

I will consider breaking this into stages and making payments as we go.

I want it on my windows webserver and that means it must be SQL2000 and ASP.net

Please read the deviverables and I can provide more information but really I would need to get an indiaction of price and delivery time before we go too much further

## Deliverables

A web site is required that will be used to book rooms in a conference centre. The system will be implemented in a few different conference centres so the website must be run from content management / database. Hosting The web site will be hosted on

_**my** Windows Server_ 2003 IIS hosting platform. The system should be fully compatible with Server 2003 IIS. I will host this on my server and all source files should be handed over and will be tested on my server before payment is made. The web site will require different levels of access therefore one key deliverable is the security and ability to sign on a different security levels. Users are set up by the ADMINISTRATOR. There is no need for on-line sign-up. Users can request a sign-on through the general enquiry form but the ADMINISTRATOR is responsible for setting up and removing users. The four levels of security are 1. PUBLIC ??" no sign-on required. The public can only see room descriptions and photographs. Public can send a general enquiry through a general enquiry form but public cannot see room availability or request a room booking. 2. CUSTOMER ??" Sign on is required and once a sign-on has been authorised the customer can view rooms and request a booking. When a CUSTOMER signes in the system must display somewhere 'SIGNED ON AS ----'. Customers can see room availability but CANNOT see who has booked a room. They should see a mark on a calendar indicating a room is booked but they cannot tell who has booked the room. 3. SERVICE ??" The service group are responsible for supplying services such as catering and audio/visual equipment. One important deliverable is a service interval which is used to prepare the room. Usually this is 30 minutes but the administrator should be able to set this global period and it applys to all rooms. Their security should allow them to log on and get reports on what services are required by room by day. They should be able to view the calendar and see who has booked the room and what services are required so they can provide that service. This group cannot perform any of the content management functions or invoice functions 4. ADMINISTRATOR. Administrators have full access to the system. They can change content (descriptions and pictures). They can modify the schedule. They can see full details on room bookings. They can set up and remove users. They are responsible for room bookings and sending invoices. Components of the System The key components of the system are as follows Rooms Rooms are set up by the administrator. The room are identified with a code and description and can also have pictures and they must display one of five layout charts (how the room should be layed out for the customer). The rooms can be in one or more buildings. Rooms will have a calendar (for booking and availability). Rooms must also have a service period to allow for setup between bookings. In some cases a large room can be split into two small rooms so when the big room is booked the two sub rooms are not available and when one of the small sub rooms is booked the other sub room can be available but the big room will not be. Rooms will have a rate which is variable so for example a day dime rate my differ from a night time rate. And rooms will have services that are available from the services list (e.g. catering or audio visual equipment). Schedule A master schedule of availability is set up by the administrator which contains information like what hours the rooms are available between and which day’s room are available or not available e.g. rooms may not be available on bank holidays. The schedule should also be linked to the pricing information. Rooms are priced per hour and the rate during the day may be different than night time Services Services include items like catering, computer equipment, and audio visual equipment. The administrator defines what services are available and the user requesting a room decides which service the want to avail of. The services are set on a room to room basis. When the administrator approves a room booking a report of services required should be generated and sent to an e-mail (which will belong to the service staff that provide the service). Service staff should also have the ability to run a report for a specific time period that will show then what services are required for a specific room(s) Billing Only the administrator can perform billing and invoicing. During the process of setting up a new CUSTOMER the users details such as name address, e-mail etc are captured. An account is then set up in the system. When a CUSTOMER requests a room and perhaps some services the system will work out the total charge during the booking process and will display the amount to the administrator. The system will require the administrator to confirm the total amount enter an invoice number for that bill. Once this occurs the system will email the invoice to the customer’s email address and a hard copy can also be printed. The system can create and store invoices and credits. The invoice can be a Crystal report run from the database. The overview of the process when the system is completed is that the administrator sets up a new customer. That customer can then log onto the website and see room availability. If the customer sees a slot they wish to use they fill in a booking request form. That form is e-mailed to the administrator. The administrator sets up the booking (which may or may not include services). The system will work out a charge for the booking and produce a invoice (report) which is e-mailed to the customerr. On any given day the administrator and service people can log in and see who is in each room and what services are required. Finally the administrator can run reports to see room occupancy and turnover.

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

Must be hosted on my windows web server

MUST be SQL 2000 database and the name of the database is CRB (it replaces and existsing database)

The language should be ASP.NET VB

When the project is done I want to maintain it so I want all the project files and source code.

I usually try to do this myself but I don't have time so I am trying RAC but when this is done I want source code and documentation
