I need a program that produces cellular/workstation production schedules for our factory. Each cell or workstation on the factory floor will be issued its own daily workschedule. The cell schedule is built from sales orders which amoung other things accepts input of product and quantity. Each of the various products has numerous sub-assemblies which have a labour value and which are assigned to a particular cell. Some cell work cannot be done before other cell work has been completed. Each work cell has a daily labour capacity.
Each Sales Order has a Ship Date and that is used to determine when each cell needs to complete the work to meet the Ship Date. Some Sales Orders are so big they need to be completed in phases so each phase is treated as a separate order but the ability to manipulate all phases for the same order is necessary.
Each cell will be able to update the orders on its schedule as "complete" "in process" etc. Once all cells have completed their portion of the job it has a "Production Complete" status and is ready for packing and shipping. Any orders not done on its scheduled date needs to be flagged/reported as such. Need the ability to move the work within the cell to a different finish/start day.
Will need files/tables for customers, cells, sub-assemblies, salesmen/project managers, sales orders, order details etc. plus various reports including a weekly schedule, Master Schedule showing all Sales orders and the breakdown of work in each cell.
