Send clipboard image to server

We have a web-project wherein we want to provide users with the functionality(server\client-side) of copying images to their clipboards(client-side). Scenario: There is a control on my web-page, similar to a pdf-viewer, which displays an 3d model within itself. we have Upload control in the same page where users can select the 3d model for upload. In the onchange event of upload control we are loading the 3d model in the viewer. (Note: both upload and viewer is on the same page). Our viewer is having exposed method for Copy Image to Clipboard. So, after loading the model in to the viewer we are calling CopyImagetoClipboard() in javascript. Now, we want to send the copied image to server. we have tried with, [login to view URL] ("Text") JavaScript method. But, it works well when we try with text. But, not working when we tried with image.
