Hi I have seen your requirement , i can perform this task for you but i will need a few clarifications so i could device a roadmap for recovery and restore of data in readable format for you. Do you have RMAN backup with you or its a export dump or do you have backup of datafiles copied on OS level Thanks and regards sarfraz

Hi there, may I please have more information in regards to the current environment, I understand the backup was done on solaris 9 and Oracle 9i, as both are out of end of life and support, the best way to have access to the data captured on the datafiles is a similar environment (solaris 9 and oracle 9), in addition to that we need to keep in mind that Oracle has a set of physical files (not only the datafiles) to work properly, included the control file(s) which is a critical file too, redologs and pfile can be recreated So before any commitment and to set the right expectations it will be good to hold a call for clarifications Thanks and good luck!
