I have really good experience and knowledge in Magento upgrading. Your retreatment is to upgrade 1.4 to 1.7 but the newest Magento version is 1.8.1 my suggestion is to upgrade you site to 1.8.1 Also I can do the moving part too. Few questions 1. Did you have used any third party Extensions for your site ? 2. Do you have any idea about the size of your site database? 3. What is the dead line for this task?
