This script combines multiple PDFs into a single PDF, adds an note to each page, and saves the resulting PDF.
Steps needed for AUTOMATION:
a. Read data from Excel file. Column A = Item#; Column I = ItemType (L=Love; O=Open; F=Failed)
b. Use order of Item# in Column A in Excel file as order to combine PDFs
c. Open the first PDF. Clear any existing data. Add note to the bottom left of the page. Note: This first PDF will be the base PDF that all other files are combined into. note coordinates: 200, 7, 300, 26. Verdana 14 pt. Text color: Red. 2 pt. red stroke on box.
d. Open each subsequent PDF in order from list. For each PDF: Clear any existing note. Add note to PDF and then insert as last page of the first PDF. Close.
e. If possible, add bookmarks and thumbnails for each page.
f. Add page numbers in lower right corner. Coordinates: 820, 19, 848, 31. Verdana 18 pt. Color: Black. No stroke on box.
g. Save the combined PDF as the Excel spreadsheet name + ".pdf"
Note: Each note and page number box will need to have a unique object name. All documents are already in PDF and the script must open each pdf and then place the excel information on the bottom of each page. These are old pdf files and the script will need to pull the name of the file and add the item# at the bottom depending on the code.
