Hello,
I am a retired technical writer with 15+ years experience writing end user guides for non-technical audiences. I analyzed software applications, broke them into easy to follow step-by-step procedures, and explained what each procedure accomplished (within the context of the application).
To do this, I had to consider what the end user (the person at the POS station) needed to know, and the ORDER in which he/she needed to know it.)
I would take the same approach to writing instructions to help a child assemble or repair a bike or skateboard; I would just keep the language simpler. I've been writing instructional material for years.
I have a B.A. in English from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. and a Diploma un Data Processing Techology in Lawrenceville, Ga.
Before I became a technical writer, I wrote news and feature articales for a small newspaper in Lawrenceville for several years. This gives me more than 20 years of writing experience.
Thank you for your consideration.
