Hi, i work with 360 degree video. I am wanting to build a player which allows the user to switch between multiple 360 videos along the same timeline. Heres the basic idea behind the project. A standard 360 video player plays a video with a timeline bar. there are 4 buttons on the side of the display. when a button is pressed: - The player starts to buffer the next 360 video clip (buffers x amount of seconds whilst still playing the current video) - When buffer reached - Get "current video time" on timeline. - Switch video and play from "current video time" whilst the same audio track plays seamlessly. All videos will be produced in sync and with same duration for easy switching. players, Krpano or Unity are the first ones that come to mind with preference to Unity. for initial builds i would like it to play local files. But keep in mind that later builds will probably be used on mobile devices using the GearVR (have had basic experience here and have seen it play smooth 360 video well) And also a web version Also later 3D functionality.
