Our system generates an XML that contains the download link of multiple files identified by <url> tag. We made the download manager as JAVA APPLET to download files to users computer in bulk having 4 threads running at the same time. This way rather than downloading the files by clicking on links one by one of individual files, we used the applet to download multiple files. The Download Manager had the system of RESUME downloads. Our new Requirement: We want NON JAVA based download manager. We thought of getting it done via JQUERY/JAVASCRIPT or HTML5 or FLASH. We want to cover all browsers that user use. I understand that we have to ignore old ancient browsers that nobody use now :). I am open to suggestions. This is urgent and we want to get started right away. Love, Angel

This can be done using AJAX and JQuery, provided the Resumes are available in your System Database. THis will be a URL based application, NOT A Standalone App like any Download manager which you see. So user will go to the URL and select the Multiple Resumes using a checkbox and click Start Download. Download will start downloading all selected files in parallel.
