I have always enjoyed writing my own fiction, and have completed the nanowrimo challenge to write 50,000 words in one month numerous times which proves I can work quickly to deadlines. I love to read, meaning that I understand different genres of literature. Please find below a small sample of my work, and do get in touch if you want to see more.
I had gone to Paris with the expectation that I would perhaps encounter a better way of life. Certainly, the job market was far superior to that of the UK, and the other rather attractive qualities of the place had endeared me to the situation. And my situation was suitable for a lady of my age and talents, of the latter there being undoubtedly a limited number that appealed to prospective employers, and of the former suggesting that I had little or no experience in anything consequential.
That having been said, I was by no means an idiot. I would probably do well in a corporate environment, or indeed, in any environment. Like a chameleon, I would blend in and learn and adapt. But there’s no easy way to say on a Curriculum Vitae that you have a wealth of experience at the age of 22, and even if you did, no one would believe you. And looking back on this time now, I perhaps was a naïve person, but that didn’t make me stupid or air-headed. I’m not sure what exactly I was. One suitcase was all I took, so I certainly wasn’t materialistic for all the things that I had acquired and purchased during my university years.
