Full Stack Engineer (Co-founder)

About Us: We have personally felt the pain points and frustrations of copy and paste tech solutions taken from elsewhere and slapped on Africa. We also see the modest increase in the market of electric vehicles (EV) aimed in aiding a quicker transition to clean energy. With this, we felt the need to start Kyara Energy. Kyara Energy is an EV charging solution startup that aims to cater for and increase the number of EV users in Nigeria by providing convenient, reliable and affordable charging solutions. For EV lovers this will eliminate their range anxiety and be a huge confidence booster to transition from their traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) veicles to EVs. Help us to build platforms/products to streamline access to the best EV charging solutions. Your role: 1. You will be one of the first engineers at Kyara Energy and will have the opportunity to join the attractive world of Energy Tech. 2. As an early engineer, you’ll be a core part of our products & services. 3. You are full-stack by nature and care about products and user experience and not specific technologies. 4. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to define and architecture solutions/platforms tailored for the Nigerian market from the bottom up. 5. You will not be bound by legacy technologies and slow processes. 6. As Kyara Energy grows, you will grow too and have an opportunity to expand our engineering team as well as create an engineering culture. 7. This role is for entrepreneurial-minded engineers who want to be an early part of a fast-growing Renewable energy startup. Experience: The most important part is not a specific tech stack, but traction, experience, and interest in building great products/services. 1. B. Sc. or M. Sc. in Computer Science, Math, and similar areas (Not compulsory but will be of advantage). 2. Frontend: Typescript, React, NextJS or similar frontend technologies 3. An eye for design and experience with design systems like Material UI, TailwindCSS 4. Backend: Typescript, NodeJS, NestJS, ExpressJS 5. Experience with Docker and AWS or GCP provisioning 6. Experience in early-stage VC funded startups (Not compulsory but will be of advantage). 7. You are very programmatic with a will to get stuff done. 8.
