I have worked on a lot of embedded systems related projects and have a good hands on with things you mentioned like color sensors, motor controllers, etc. I have been involved in various projects related to embedded development including ones related to Cortex M4F, MSP430 and Raspberry Pi to name a few. I have quite a lot of experience controlling motors, I have done everything from RC planes and helicopters to robots, LED POV clocks and laser light shows, I have an understanding of both digital and analog electronics and would prototype any circuit with physical parts before sending you my design. I know less about colour sensors but I have experience with communicating with microcontrollers with i2c and serial data and I have a lot of experience teaching myself from textbooks and the internet and I'm very enthusiastic to learn..
