Hello, I am PhD in Electrical engineering. we can do this by adding PIR sensors on door steps and windows. Each sensor will have a special assigned code if a person entered in a room then specialized code will be sent to main controller which will understand that door is open instead of window. Same will happen with window. in this way the temperature sensor will monitor the temperature and will accordingly control the thermostat of heater. the thermostat will work on the fuzzy logic with designed membership functions of various temperatures. I can completely provide the circuit diagram and also the programming code for central Controller.
