Hello
Please ignore my bid to begin with as it seems this is more about trying to establish a good working relationship than actually awarding a project straight away. You have requested samples of work but unfortunately Freelancer ban bidders from attaching samples of work as they don't feel it appropriate in the bidding process. However once you make contact with a bidder, then samples can be sent.
If your client has written nine pages so far and this is likely to be a substantial project, I would have no problems providing a critique of the work done r and edit a couple of pages so they could get a feel for how I work - there would be no charge for that. Although your client is likely to also be American, I have many clients from the States and a 98% pass for US Level 3 English should allay any fears on that front, together with a very high pass for Academic Writing as well. I have not been on Freelancer as long as some and I also work independently, so my number of reviews is not as high as some, but they are all at a 5* rating, and my full profile will show over 280 projects for writing, proofreading and editing, again all at 5* ratings. As for working practices, I do all editing with MS Word and trackchanges so your client will see any suggested changes or corrected errors. I would also expect there to be two rounds of editing followed by a final proofread based on similar work done.
I would be delighted to have the opportunity of further discussion.
