Hold some props for an art installation

I'm easy to work with, very communicative, and a skilled illustrator and graphic designer. I have degrees in art & design & creative writing. I'm detail-oriented, yet maintain focus on the larger picture. I can follow direct creative orders, as well as take my own creative liberties when requested. I've been hired for large scale illustrator work for a large exhibition and installation, logo design, album artwork, document design, poster design, window vinyl design, and so on. I've been recognized by many colleagues and mentors in the art and design community for my personality, creativity, and drive. As both a teacher and maker, I see art as a place to play, inspire curiosity and inquiry. Visual communication drives literacy, and design and illustration can be important tools to understanding complex ideas or questions. I am an artist/illustrator and educator living in Chicago. With over 15 years experience as an arts and design educator teaching students of all ages, I have amassed an arsenal of technical design skills, industry knowledge, and creative thinking ready to put to use. My art practice is varied - drawing, digital design, small objects, audio/video, installation, and performance - and more recently includes organizing collaborative creative events that explore personal histories, community, and informal art experiences.
